Major Casey J. Montgomery is the Logistics Readiness Squadron Commander, 190th Air Refueling Wing, Forbes Field, Topeka, Kansas. She is responsible for overseeing diverse day-to-day operations within 100+ person squadron which includes Operations & Compliance, Materiel Management, Fuels Management, Vehicle Management, Deployment and Distribution. Major Montgomery is dedicated to ensuring customers receive high quality logistics support in a timely and efficient manner in support of the 190th Air Refueling Wing’s 12 assigned aircraft and over 900 personnel.
Major Montgomery entered the Air National Guard in 2002, receiving her initial training through the United States Air Force Basic Military Training. She began her career as a crew chief on the KC-135D/E/R. In 2007, Major Montgomery made the move to Recruiting and in 2008 she was selected to the Budget Officer position. She commissioned in 2009 through the Academy of Military Science. In Budget, she orchestrated an annual budget in excess of 40 million dollars and over 43,000 workdays while providing instrumental decision support to wing leadership. In 2016, she moved into her first Command position as the 190th Communications Flight Commander and then in 2017, she was selected to be the 190th Force Support Squadron Commander.
Major Montgomery has spent her entire military career in the Kansas Air National Guard and been full time since September 2005, where she has been fortunate to travel to multiple states and countries while working with people from all walks of life.
