Maj. Jody Cope is the Director of Operations at the 190th Air Refueling Wing, Force Support Squadron, Forbes Field Air National Guard Base, Topeka, Kansas. Maj. Cope provides policy, guidance, and oversight to a multitude of personnel programs within the Force Support portfolio. The Force Support Squadron provides essential personnel services to over 900 Airmen assuring unit readiness and a rapid response force critical local and national operations.
Maj. Cope entered the Kansas Air National Guard in February 2009 after graduating from the United States Air Force Basic Military Training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. She began her military career as an enlisted Air Transportation Journeyman with the 190th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Forbes Field ANGB. In December 2013 she was commissioned after graduating from the Academy of Military Science at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. Maj. Cope initially served as the Military Equal Opportunity Officer for the 190th ARW. Prior to this assignment, Maj. Cope served as the Services Headquarters Management Augmentation Team Officer-in-Charge, Joint Forces Headquarters Air, Forbes Field ANGB., where she was responsible for maximizing the utilization of regional Air National Guard assets in domestic operations within Federal Emergency Management Agency of Region VII.
