Capt Elizabeth McBee is the Maintenance Operations Flight Commander at the 190th Air Refueling Wing, Forbes Field Air National Guard Base, Topeka, Kansas. Capt McBee leads, trains, and equips personnel supporting aerospace equipment sustainment and operations by administering aircraft maintenance programs and resources. She directs aircraft maintenance production, staff activity, and related material programs to assess unit capability and advise senior leadership. Capt McBee is also responsible for the Wing Munitions Management program as the Munitions Accountable Systems Officer (MASO).
Capt McBee began her military career in November 2009 as a Personnel Journeyman with the 190th Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS), Forbes Field ANGB. As a member of the Commander’s Support Staff, Capt McBee performed administrative and personnel actions for over 150 Airmen during her five-year tenure. In July 2015, Capt McBee transitioned to the Logistics Plans office which allowed her to lead wing deployment operations and enhanced overall base personnel and equipment readiness. She was selected as a Logistics Readiness Officer (LRO) in December 2019 and received her commission after graduating from Total Force Officer Training School at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama in October 2020. During her time as an LRO, Capt McBee was the Officer-in-Charge of four sections of LRS, ensuring accountability, compliance, and issue resolution. In addition to her current assignment, Capt McBee has also been an integral member of the Company Grade Officer Council. She developed and stood up the Forbes Field Coyote Closet, a repository of uniform items accessible to all wing members.
