Captain JACOB A. KING

Capt. Jacob A. King is the commander of the Force Support Squadron at the 190th Air Refueling Wing, Forbes Field Air National Guard Base, Kansas. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing vital mission support operations including manpower and personnel, services sustainment, force development, military and family services, recruiting and retention, commanders support staff, base honor guard, and installation personnel readiness. The FSS provides support to more than 900 assigned military/civilian personnel, their dependents, as well as retirees.

Capt. King began his military career when he enlisted with the 190th ARW in August 1999. Shortly after, he attended USAF Basic Military Training graduating in March 2000. After that he traveled to the Liquid Fuels Maintenance Apprentice course where he graduated in May 2000. He returned to Forbes Field and served as a liquid fuels maintenance specialist with the 190th Civil Engineering Squadron. In November 2006 he was selected as an intelligence analyst with the 190th Operations Support Squadron. He attended the Operations Intelligence Apprentice course and graduated in June 2007. In August 2018 Capt. King received his commission from Officer Training School. Prior to his current position, Capt. King served as the Director of Operations, 190th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Forbes Field ANGB, Kansas.

During his career Capt. King has traveled to at least 30 states and 10 countries supporting multiple operations including Operations Noble Eagle, Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, and Unified Protector.
