Captain Jonathan W. Henry is the Commander of the 190th Communications Flight, 190th Air Refueling Wing, Forbes Field, Kansas. Capt Henry is responsible for the Wing’s cyber and telecommunications requirements, overseeing the Local Area Network, Information Management and Assurance, COMSEC, Maintenance, ground radio, infrastructure, and planning/ implementation of future capabilities. As Commander, he leads a Flight of 35 military members and 8 civilians, operating an annual budget of $225,000 with technology assets greater than $3.8 million.
Lieutenant Henry entered the Kansas Air National Guard in January 2006 with the 190th Security Forces Squadron. From 2006 until 2012, he served as a security forces specialist, deploying twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. In March 2012 he began a fulltime career with the 190 ARW, accepting a position as the Chief of Information Protection. In January 2014, he transitioned to the 190th Comptroller Flight as the Budget Analyst, and in 2016 was selected to commission within the Flight. Prior to his current position, the Captain was the Budget Officer, 190th Comptroller Flight, Forbes Field, KS.
