Chief Master Sergeant Brian D. Saunders is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 190th Air Refueling Wing, Forbes Field, Topeka, Kansas. As the Wing Command Chief, he advises the Wing Commander and senior staff on issues affecting the health, morale, and welfare of the enlisted force and provides guidance on enlisted issues. He is the functional manager of the First Sergeant's Council and is a member of and advises the 190th ARW Chief's Council.
Chief Saunders began his military career in the active U.S. Air Force in June 1982. During his enlistment, he served as an avionics technician with the 62nd MAW for 8 years. Further assignments include the 94th AW, Dobbins ARB Georgia, and the 931st ARG, McConnell AFB Kansas. He joined the 190th ARW in 1998 as an avionics technician and later as a quality assurance inspector.
Chief Saunders was named the Command Chief Master Sergeant, March 2008.
The Chief has served on numerous 190th ARW deployments in support of AEF missions.
